More than 35 years of Human Resources experience, with an operational perspective.
Jennifer Faye Kuykendall brings experience across hospitality, healthcare, state government, and consulting to organizations that need sound judgment, discretion, and practical support.
A career built inside complex organizations.
Jennifer Faye Kuykendall is the Principal of Jennifer Faye Advisory and brings more than 35 years of Human Resources experience across hospitality, healthcare, state government, and consulting.
Her background includes five years in Human Resources with the State of Tennessee Department of Health, serving as Human Resources Director for a multi-location surgical practice, and serving as Director of Human Resources and an Executive Committee member for a Forbes Five-Star luxury hotel. Since 2018, she has advised organizations, drawing on decades of Human Resources and operational experience to help leaders address people, performance, and organizational challenges.
That range of experience matters because Human Resources decisions do not exist in isolation. Policies, leadership choices, performance expectations, culture, and service standards ultimately have to work in real operating environments and make sense to the people expected to carry them out.
Jennifer's work combines executive-level Human Resources expertise with operational perspective, sound judgment, discretion, and a direct, practical approach.
Where Jennifer's experience is particularly useful
Organizational change and transition
Periods of change expose gaps in communication, decision-making, structure, and accountability. Jennifer helps leaders identify what is creating friction, determine what needs to change, and establish a workable path forward.
Employee relations and workplace investigations
Complex employee issues require careful fact-finding, judgment, consistency, and discretion. Jennifer works with leaders to address concerns thoughtfully, distinguish the underlying issue from the visible symptom, and make sound people decisions.
Leadership and performance challenges
When performance or leadership effectiveness is inconsistent, the answer is rarely another generic program. Jennifer helps clarify expectations, strengthen accountability, improve difficult conversations, and build practices leaders can actually use.
Policy, structure, and organizational systems
Policies and processes should create clarity rather than bureaucracy. Jennifer develops and reviews practical systems that support consistency, performance, accountability, and the realities of the organization.
How Jennifer works
Understand the actual problem.
The visible issue is not always the underlying issue. The work begins with facts, context, expectations, and the organizational realities surrounding the situation.
Give usable advice.
Recommendations should be specific enough for a leader to act on, not simply technically correct in theory. The objective is to improve the decision and the way it is carried out.
Establish clear and workable systems.
When recurring problems point to a structural gap, Jennifer helps create practical processes, expectations, and accountability that can be sustained after the immediate issue is resolved.
Connect expectations to execution.
Whether the issue involves Human Resources, leadership, policy, culture, organizational effectiveness, or service, the goal is consistent execution and better organizational judgment.
